Background: HIV is a virus where the virus aims to attack the human immune system so that it causes weakness in the body to fight a disease. The main cause of HIV transmission is through genital fluids obtained from sex and blood obtained from syringes of drug users . Many people do not understand what HIV disease is and how it can be transmitted and prevented. This can lead to the risk of transmission of HIV disease, to overcome this as for ways that can be given is to provide health education that aims to increase the level of knowledge and understanding of the dangers of HIV disease. Objective: Gain real experience and effectiveness of health education about HIV prevention to increase knowledge and overcome the problem of increasing HIV sufferers. Method: Descriptive case study which is one type of strategy in qualitative research, with a case study research approach (case study). The population in this study were adolescents at Wonogiri 3 Public Senior High School aged 12-17 years who were male and female. Sample of 3 respondents. The instrument uses questionnaires and leaflets. Results: The results of research conducted from all respondents showed that after health education was carried out on HIV prevention there was an increase in knowledge of the respondents, this can be seen from the results of the questionnaire respondents. Pre-test respondents 1, 6 questions correct from 15 questions, respondent 2, 7 questions correct from 15 questions, and respondent 3, 7 questions correct from 15 questions. Post-test respondent 1 becomes 13 correct questions out of 15 questions, respondent 2 becomes 12 correct questions out of 15 questions, and respondent 3 becomes 14 correct questions out of 15 questions. Conclusion: The results of the analysis conducted from all respondents obtained data that after health education was conducted on HIV prevention, all respondents experienced an increase in knowledge and understanding. Thus the problem is resolved and the intervention is stopped. Keywords: Health Education, HIV, Adolescents.
